Playback/foldback headphone system

Available for hire either in part or in full, this system provides all that you need for recording to track or click on location

5 x Mackie HM-800 headphone amplifiers, racked & wired to provide 16 outputs per unit on XLR connectors for simple and easy extensions in the studio. This 80 channel setup can be supplemented with additional free-standing headphone amplifiers to provide a system of 90+ playback headsets.

The headphones are Beyerdynamic DT102/DT108 single sided cans. 80+ pairs are available terminated on XLR to align with the racked Mackie distribution system. An additional 16 pairs are available, terminated on the more standard 1/4” jack to expand the system to well over 90 channels.

Colour matched extension cables are provided to make adjustments on sessions straightforward for individual users and, because the system utilises the common 3-pin XLR cable, it’s easy to add additional extensions if required.

All the headphones are sent out in Peli Cases, fully tested and ready to be used. They are split into 4 cases of 2 x 32 & 2 x 16 as standard although customs arrangements can be made where necessary.

Cost of Hire

The system is hired out at a cost of £100/day + VAT for 16 channels of headphones (includes 1 x Mackie rack, 16 pairs of headphones, XLR extension cables & power as required). If the complete system is required (92+ channels) there is a set rate of £500/day + VAT.

Delivery of the system can be arranged at cost to anywhere in the UK. Additionally a technical engineer can also be provided to assist with the systems use if required. Please get in touch for rates.
